The cantonal road K 34 connects the community of Wolhusen to Ruswil. The approximately 4,800 meter long section of road was renovated and expanded. The types of work included general civil engineering and road construction (works pipes, sewer systems, edge terminations, paving construction on cantonal roads). As part of the renovation, two new bridges were built with a span of up to 30m1, as well as retaining walls made of in-situ concrete with a total length of 400m1. The foundation of these structures was deep-founded using large bored piles and micro piles. Furthermore, three large block stone walls were newly built with a stone volume of up to 8,000 tons.
